Let's build the software, data, and AI systems
your business runs on.

Whether it's an internal tool, a customer portal, a data pipeline, an AI feature, or an automation that takes the manual work off your plate — I design, build, and ship it, working closely with you the whole way. You're always talking to the person actually building it.

From a one-week fix to a full build — fixed scope, fixed price, and no surprises.

See what I build →

Real systems, built around how you work.

Most of my work is under NDA, so instead of client logos, here's the shape of what I build — the kinds of systems I've set up for enterprises across industries, that actually ship and keep running.

AI features

AI that does something useful

Chatbots, copilots, and assistants built on LLMs and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) — wired into your own data, answering questions and taking action, and built to keep working long after launch.

Documents

Make your documents searchable

Turn the PDFs, contracts, and records that are impossible to search by hand into clean, searchable data — OCR, extraction, and semantic search, with the privacy and access controls a serious business needs.

Data & backends

The plumbing other systems run on

ETL and streaming pipelines that ingest, clean, and serve data reliably; the APIs and backends — shipped with CI/CD and proper observability — your other tools and apps can build on.

Automation

Kill the manual work

Take the repetitive, manual work — data entry, reconciliations, report generation — and hand it to event-driven workflows that just run, correctly, on their own.

Tools & dashboards

Internal tools your team uses

The real-time dashboards and internal apps your team actually opens every day — to see what's happening and act on it.

Web

Web apps, portals & sites

Customer portals, internal platforms, and websites — from design to launch, backed by the CI/CD and DevOps that keep deploys fast and reliable.

MLOps

Models that ship and stay healthy

The unglamorous part that makes ML actually pay off: shipping models through CI/CD, versioning them in a registry, monitoring for drift, and retraining when the world moves — so they keep earning their keep instead of rotting in a notebook.

Computer vision

Teach your software to see

Object detection, OCR, classification, and tracking — spotting defects on a line, reading labels and documents, counting objects, checking photo quality, and turning images and video into decisions your systems can act on.

Speech

Turn talk into text — and action

Speech-to-text (ASR) with speaker diarization, plus the NLP to pull out decisions and action items — transcribe calls and meetings, search across hours of audio, or build a voice interface, so the spoken word becomes something you can actually use.

Forecasting

See what's coming next

Time-series and probabilistic models that turn your history into a forward view — demand, revenue, churn, capacity — with honest prediction intervals, so you can plan with the odds in front of you instead of guessing.

Got a project in mind?

Tell me about it →

Four ways we can work together.

Every client and every project is a little different. These are the shapes it usually takes — and if none of them quite fits, just tell me what you need and we'll shape the right approach together.

Full build

Have an idea but no one to build it? I'll take it from a rough sketch to something real and running — designed, built, and shipped, with you in the loop at every step.

Advisory sprint

Sometimes you just need a sharp second pair of eyes for a few weeks — to shape the architecture, scope the work, or pressure-test a plan before you commit to it.

Quick fix

Something specific that needs fixing? One problem, a clear price, a tight timeline — I come in, solve it, and hand it back done.

Ongoing partner

Want a dependable partner for the long term? I'll be your on-call engineering and AI lead — there when you need me, with no large team to manage or pay for.

One person. Start to finish.

You don't need a ten-person agency to get serious software built. You get one experienced person who designs it, builds it, and ships it — right alongside you, and on the hook for whether it actually works.

  • You talk to the person building itNo account managers, no rotating team — just me, working with you from the first call to handover.
  • Fixed scope, fixed priceAgreed before we start, so you know the cost and exactly what you're getting — up front.
  • Working software, nothing lessSomething that runs and your team can genuinely use — not a deck and a roadmap.
  • Fast, because there's no overheadNo handoffs and no layers in between — so we move in weeks, not months.
  • Yours to keepClean, documented code and systems — no lock-in, and no ongoing dependence on me to keep them running.
  • Works across time zonesBrussels-based, working with teams anywhere. Remote-first and async-friendly.
Lucky Mohanty, independent consultant

Who you'd be working with.

I'm Lucky Mohanty — an actuary, a computer scientist, and an AI engineer. I'm genuinely passionate about what that combination makes possible: pairing the rigour to get the numbers and the risk right with the craft to turn them into software, data, and AI that holds up when real people depend on it.

Over the years I've set these systems up for enterprises across financial services — banking and insurance — and supply chain: document-processing pipelines, internal platforms and dashboards, data backends, AI assistants, and automations that quietly take the repetitive work off people's plates.

Now I work independently with companies of any size, anywhere in the world — whether that's a quick fix, a full build, or a long-term partner you can count on. If any of that sounds useful, I'd be glad to hear what you're working on.

Let's talk about what you're building.

Bring a project, a rough idea, or a problem you can't crack — and we'll work through it together. I'll always be straight with you about whether and how I can help.
